I can’t believe it’s been almost THREE months since our wedding! Marriage has truly been the best thing, ever. It’s nice just living regular life with my hubby but I definitely miss planning our wedding – seeing all the small details to big parts of the day come together so beautifully was such a blessing! I am super exciting to share all our wedding details with you babes! It’s going to be a three post series – 1. Getting Ready + Details 2. Bride + Groom 3. Ceremony + Reception so look out for those!
Today I am sharing my invitations, what gifts we gave our bridal party, welcome bags details, the fun/personal gift I gave Peter and a few things I loved about my getting ready process. Keep scrolling for some stunning photos taken by the sweetest human ever, Tanya of Tenth and Grace and lots of deets!
I had welcome bags (here) waiting in the guest rooms when they arrived filled with mini red + white wine (stickers here), gum, his + her favorite candy (stickers here), granola bars, Hang Over Kit (bags here) – inside was : bandaids, mini pack of tylenol and advil (got the mini packs at the $1 store! It was literally the only place I could find them) chapstick, and a few Emergen-C packs all topped with a little hello/happy you’re here note (here).
Our invitations were custom designed by Celeste Clark. She was so sweet to work with. They turned out exactly how I imagined!
I loved having his + her vow books rather than a piece of paper (Peter’s paper probably would’ve been from a bright yellow legal pad lol)
These agates were definitely one of my very very favorite details!
These shoes were super comfortable and under $90!
Florals by The Dainty Lion. Seriously, OBSESSED with them!
Bridal Party Gifts
Plum Pretty Sugar robes, a darling personalized hanger, gift bag, mini lotion bottle, coffee cup, Billion Dollar Brow tool kit (obsessed with mine, I still use it everyday!), Sugarfina rose candy cubes, a handful of suckers for the girls with babies – all four of my niece were quite during the ceremony because of those suckers!!! and I gave my maid of honor (my sister) this James Michelle bracelet with a little heart on it!
I gave Peter a boudoir album. Jodi Anne of J-Anne Photography was my photographer and I absolutely couldn’t have dreamed of a freaking cooler human to be half naked in front of for 2 hours! She’s an absolute gem and sooo talented. Peter loved the book and I am beyond happy I decided do the shoot – it’s such a fun memory to have forever! A boudoir session (with Jodi) is a MUST babes!!!
Alicia Wheeler did our make up. Everyone looked stunning and she is such a sweet soul. Loved her!
The romper and robe I wore getting ready are now sold out so I’ve linked some other cute options below!
We got ready and stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar San Diego. I’ve been in a handful of bridal suits and they always stressed me out. So, I only had my bridal party, my mom, mother-in-law and my nieces would come in and out. It was so peaceful!
It was also really important to me to have bridal suite be filled with a lot of nature light, hotel rooms can often be dark so if that’s something that is important to you just ask to check out the suite before booking.
My sister’s dress is Show Me Your Mumu.
I ended up taking off the necklace I am wearing in these photos as I was walking out the door. So happy I did, it was too much! I wore my Grandma’s vintage turquoise ring for my ‘something borrowed, something blue, something old’ (she actually made my veil too!), dainty gold rings and this James Michelle bracelet.
Let me know if you girlies have any questions and happy planning to all your pretty brides! Two more wedding posts coming soon xox
