I know I am like sooo late posting all my wedding and honeymoon photos (like 3 months late, Danielle *insert eye roll*) and I’m so sorry but I swear they will all be up by end of next week. I think I miss them both so much it’s hard to go through all the photos and not wish I was back or maybe I’ve been lazy – who knows lol. Anyways, today I am sharing the second half of our honeymoon adventure with you in Thailand! We definitely took Thailand a lot slower than we did Bali (read about our trip to Bali HERE). Partly because we had a ton of rain during our stay – but we enjoyed the mellow days and were finally able to really relax! We got experienced some incredible things and got to see some amazing sites of this gorgeous country despite all the rain. We definitely didn’t take nearly as many pictures as I wish we would have for some reason in Thailand but keep scrolling for a mini recap of our stay!
We traveled from Bali to Bangkok, Thailand where we stayed two nights in Bangkok. A lot of people say skip over Bangkok but we enjoyed seeing the culture of such an iconic city (although I was ready to go after those 2 nights). We saw some gorgeous temples, went to a super fun night market, grabbed a drink at the Sky Bar where Hangover 2 was filmed, adventured the floating market and I even got my nails done ha! We stayed that the SO Sofitel Hotel and loveeddd it!
From Bangkok to went to Phuket. We stayed at Avista Hideway and The Nai Harn during our stay there. The Nai Harn was probably our very favorite hotel during our entire honeymoon – we were just obsessed with it! We chose to stay in Phuket and travel out from there to see all the smaller islands.
OMG! The elephants you guys!!! What an incredible experience. We spent the afternoon at a Elephant Rescue Sanctuary and were able to feed, bathe and play with these amazing animals. Playing with elephants was a bucket list item for both Peter and I but it was really important to us to ONLY interact with elephants who were being provided a safe living environment. These elephants were unchained and roaming freely! They live in a rescue sanctuary who is dedicated to providing a healthy life for them where they are free of being poked or forced to give “rides” to tourist. Make sure you do your research, it is so worth it!!!
We spent two days taking boat tours to different little islands. It was UNREAL! Stunning blue waters, jumping on and off the boat to snorkel, monkeys roaming the beaches, cocktails on the sand – it was such a dreamy couple days seeing islands we researched pictures of forever!
We ate wayyy too much pad thai noodles, relaxed with gorgeous views around us and enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon in Asia. It was truly a trip we will never forget. Let me know if you babes have any questions about Thailand, I would love to help assist your travel adventures! Thanks for following along on our honeymoon! Xoxox.
