I am super excited to say that Monday’s will now be “Monday Motivation” sharing all things fitness and health! I am absolutely no expert in the field but sometimes the smallest tip, trick or encouraging word makes all the difference! I wanted to have a post to share with you at least once a week that was helpful, relevant and useful to life! So why on Monday’s?…I absolutely love Mondays! I know they can be slightly dreadful and exhausted beings that Monday means the weekend is over and we have another full week to tackle. But at the same time, I consider Monday’s a fresh start…A clean slate. If you didn’t eat too well over the weekend or got off track the week before with being active, Monday is the perfect day to kick your butt into gear! Therefore, Monday’s can be super motivating! I would LOVE to hear anything you guys would like to see from this series. Leave comment here or on my Instagram (@dwittig)!
I wanted to start this series with a look that I think we allll find ourselves wearing at least once a week. I am all for wearing gym clothes or as they are calling it these days “Athleisure Wear” all day #reallife. Somedays we just don’t feel like putting anything together in the morning or if we have a super busy day of errands + running around or a long day of school ahead but we still wanna get to the gym at some point all while looking presentable, right?! Well, what always makes this task easier for me is to put on some gym leggings (these are my absolute favorite and they are only $23), a long tee (I usually go with all black so I don’t have to think too much about a color palette), add some layers (scarf, tie around your waste, maybe a rad leather jacket) and a sleek tennis shoe (my favorite for this look are Nike’s ‘Internationalist’, they have a very European look to them which I love) and your Monday morning getting ready madness just got a whole lot easier! You’re not only prepared for a long day but you don’t have to worry about packing a bag for the gym (and probably forgetting something…story of my life) if you plan on ending your day with a good sweat.
I believe Monday really sets the tone for your week so getting off on the right foot is super important. Mondays don’t have to suck! It’s a day to wake up with a fresh, positive mindset for whatever your week entails. Let’s do this MONDAY! ?
